Group Rides

For members who like to ride with a group there are two rides in the area each week. The rides are on Sunday mornings and Wednesday mornings and both start at 10am from Brigham Church, Brigham, Nr Cockermouth (WEATHER PERMITTING).

These rides are not DVCC events and are not organised or controlled by DVCC.

Both rides are attended by riders from various local cycling clubs and also by riders who are not cycling club members. The pace is steady and there is a cafe stop at approximately mid distance. The rides cover 40 to 50 miles during the winter months, increasing to 60+ miles during the spring and summer months. However, factors such as who is out on the day and the prevailing weather conditions are always taken into account and no one gets left behind.

So, if you have some free time and would like some company, please go along, you'll enjoy it.

The usual advice applies i.e. take some cash for the cafe stop and a spare tube/puncture outfit etc.
